(*Check out Sammy's haircut pics we also just posted, but it listed a few entries ago...)
We've determined it is easier to post updates once every three momentous occasions or holidays, whichever comes first. Just kidding. No, probably not.
It's been cool to see the big sister-little brother relationship beginning to develop. Liana has been great to Sammy. He seems to find her hilarious for some reason...

http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z276/paulandshannonflood/?action=view¤t=MOV01960.flvOne of Liana's new favorite activities is to pile as many of her dolls and toys onto her carriage and take them for a walk. We haven't been able to sneak a video of this, but you have to believe us it's worth some comic relief to see her determination to get everything on board.
Occasionally, on laundry days, she gets extra fun piling everything (carriage included) into the basket and taking that for a walk.
JACKPOT!!!
Imagine my skepticism last Tuesday when Shannon informs me she is going full-blitz potty training on Liana. Not that I didn't think she could do it, it's just that I had come to enjoy the daily poop updates while I was at work informing me how lucky I was to have missed the latest installment.
Needless to say, Shannon was persistant and successful in less than a week to have Liana fully potty trained. Sianara, diapers. Well, at least the larger ones. We still have the random accident, but everyone is much happier with the new arrangement.
The first couple days were interested trying to get her to focus long enough to stay on the potty, but she started warming up to the idea once she realized she could have ALL her toys to accompany her on her training sessions.

Liana on Easter morning, who couldn't have been more excited about her Easter basket. I think she carried that thing around all day and night, pulling out the chocolates, looking at them, putting them on the floor, arranging them, telling everyone she could have "jut one", and trying so hard to be obedient and not eat them even though it was obvious the temptation was strong. It made me so happy to see her giddy and happy and without a care in the world except these little chocolates. She also had her first egg-hunt with Grampa, who coached her through finding all nine eggs. I thought they were a little obviously hidden, but this being her first time and all, we'll step up the difficulty next year.

Flashback Alert, Pt. 5: Liana, Easter 2006...okay I'm done. I just can't believe how fast they grow up. (sigh)
Grampa and Samuel reading his new book.
Grampa and Liana. Yes, that is snow on Easter. Yes, the snow is over Liana's head.
"You seriously need to lay off the chocolate."
Four generations and counting...
Bye!

I keep going back and looking at the pictures and watching the film strips. Every update is even better than the previous.
Thanks Dad.
We can always count on a glowing review.
