Liana Painting

I stepped away for a couple of minutes and came back to Liana pretending her paints were lipsticks. I think blue was her favorite. She then claimed that she didn't know what happened.

Happy Mother's Day

Samuel's Crawling and Climbing

Samuel is just about ready to walk. He took his first steps earlier this week, but here he is starting to crawl. He pretty much hated every second of it, until he discovered its advantages, like chasing Liana. Since then he hasn't stopped crawling or climbing everything in sight.

I figured I should start with the crawling since Samuel started crawling back in February. Hopefully, we'll be more on top of the kid's updates now that I have figured out how to post a blog. Paul won't be forced to do it blury eyed after the kid's go to sleep every couple of months. I was shamed into figuring it as I looked at Paul's friends Jason and Diana's blog. They had weekly updates that looked like masterpieces occasionally accompanied by music. I don't know how you guys find the time, but good for you.

Daddy and Samuel bonding.

Daddy took Liana on her first ride. She loved the merry go round.
She still reminds us that he has to hold on tight, so he dosen't fall
off the horse.

Sammy and I hanging out, while he had to watch Liana on
the rides. There are some disadvantages to being the baby.

Liana enjoyed her first cotton candy by the double fisted fulls.
We just laughed as she shoveled it in fearing that we might
take the sugar away from her.

After being cooped up all winter and most of spring we decided to take the kids to a local carnival for some fun on Mother's Day. I must say, just being able to get outside for a little while was a nice Mother's Day gift.

NBA Finals

We all know the saying about the NBA, "if an NBA game broke out in the driveway, would anyone stop to watch?" I haven't followed the NBA in years, but it was great to see the Celtics actually playing team basketball and defense and winning because of it.
It was fun getting caught up in some of the excitement, even though again, we missed the victory parade. I was able to sneak out of work and take a few with the kids the day after.

Liana refused to pose for a picture with the Celtics championship hat. In keeping with her favorite show, Caillou, her phrase now is "I don't want to!" (If you've been unfortunate enough to have seen the show, and we hope you haven't, this is one of Caillou the spoiled brat's favorite lines also) The show is now officially banned, but the damage has already been done.

Liana again refused to sit, but when we put Sammy down to take the picture without her, she was game. Speaking of which, I've learned is a great way to get her to do something she won't do. Just grab Sammy and watch her move.

Father's Day with Grampa

Since Liana's new favorite activity is sitting in the swing for hours, Grampa got in on the action. He didn't even blink with double duty swing management. I guess it's like riding a bike...

Sammy and Grandma Pauline taking in a novel.

Liana, as usual, was able to get Grampa to do pretty much whatever she wanted.
