New videos

I was laughing the other day watching Liana eat, realizing how naturally she picks things up day by day. Not so long ago it was spoon-feeding her blended vegetables and now she just sits at the table like one of the family. She was amusing me with her determination to stab each and every blueberry with the fork. Then she showed off a little for once and did the sign for baby, even though lately she's been saying beebee. Hopefully Uncle Bill and Auntie Amy will be impressed with her progress.

I guess it was inevitable sooner or later that she would be into her shoes like Mommy. She gets very excited when we tell her to go get her shoes. She goes on a mad dash to find them. Forget it if she can't find them or we've put them away.

Big Sister already?

Yeah, I'm gonna be a big sister soon.

Two weekends ago we got to get away by ourselves to Aunt Mimi's cottage in NH. We had big plans to go out on the canoe, get dressed up and go out to eat, do some reading...instead we slept most of the day, which is better than a cruise these days. It's funny how much things change in your old age.
Thirty-seven weeks and counting...any bets?
Progress with vacuuming has been slow. Liana used to run screaming from this strange machine three months ago. Over time her fear turned to some kind of strange curiosity. She was still scared, but couldn't not be in the middle of what was going on. So, she would go see what all the noise was only to start crying and run away again. Now she's all about helping Mommy. Pushing the buttons, grabbing the cord, standing excitedly in front so you can't get anything done, hopping on board for a ride, this thing is great.
By the way, after much disagreement the spelling of vacuuming is correct. We won't say who won that argument. You can probably guess.

A rare moment of playing with toys instead of destroying, exploring, running, or rearranging the apartment. Go figure.

Liana's newest, and need I say loudest, favorite toy. Winnie the Pooh has his own versions of all your favorite tunes. I wonder if he's paid any royalties?

New Discoveries

Thanks to Auntie Stephanie, Liana has been learning the parts of her face. I couldn't get this whole video to upload, so it's not as funny as the full length feature.

Word of the day: cheese...She now says okay, dada, mama, au done, getit, down; in addition to the regular grunts we're trying to decipher.

A rare moment of sleep in her new double stroller. This is daddy's favorite time.
