Liana playing with cousin Brianna

Photobucket Album

Day at the Arcade

Yesterday we were finally able to get away and enjoy some much needed time away. We drove down to Hull and spent few hours on the beach and at the arcade. We thought she'd have a blast seeing all the flashing lights and kids running around, which she did. But all else paled in comparison to pushing the stool around the entire arcade, regardless of who she ran into. When we put it away to get her to play more games, she spotted another one and was back at it. Make sure to check out the video.

We roped in almost 30 tickets with this push. We're already planning her first trip to Vegas with that lucky finger.

Jackpot!

Skee-ball with Mommy.

She was more than a little freaked out by this innocent looking thrill ride. We put her in so we could drop in the quarters and she was fine untill the thing started up like a bucking bronco at the rodeo. She was absolutely terrified. We thought maybe a quick hug to reassure her would be okay, but when we put her back on she started shaking. Maybe next year when she's a big sister...but I still want my quarter back.

Enjoying some of her winnings. A princess wand, a smiley face popper/noise-maker, and a rubber lizard that Daddy liked more than her.

Let's go home...

Growing up so fast...

Our little poser. When she sees the camera, it's either a: time to attack it and try to lick it, b: pose with above cheese grin, or c: cease doing whatever funny thing I was just doing. Guess which moment this was. This is one of probably 100 pictures with this face.

Our little eater. We don't think we'd recognize her without food in her hand or on her clothes and face. Daddy regularly takes her out only to realize this morning's eggs are still making an appearance on her face.

Our little "sleeper". What do you mean I can't wake up at 5:30 like I've been doing?

Wollaston Beach

This beach is one of our favorite walks, only about a 15 minute trot from our apartment.

Yeah, I know I match perfectly. Dadddy definitely didn't dress me.

Liana enjoying her favorite snack, raisins. If we let her, she'd probably eat the whole carton in one day (minus the leftovers we find in the bed, on the floor, in the stroller, in my toes, shoes, etc.) It's always nice finding that sticky small lump on the bottom of your foot while making breakfast. This was story time before going to bed, in the crib, we are proud to admit. She was a little late in coming (14 mos.), but nights are much more enjoyable now. We were expecting a knock-down drag 'em out weeklong battle, but she's adjusted pretty well. She still has her moments, but she's used to it now. We say "night-night" when she's crazy and falling all over the floor, and she walks by herself over to the crib. She wasn't a fan of no more bottle either, but she's moved on nicely from that also. Next battle: diapers. Actually, Daddy hoping Mommy can work some of her magic and move this potty training thing along.
